WorldSkills Australia

WorldSkills promotes and builds a culture of respect for skills by celebrating excellence, inspiring young people, and provideing them with an opportunity to showcase their trade and skills talent.

WorldSkills Competitions provide apprentices, trainees and VET in School students with the opportunity to compete in competitions to achieve excellence in their chosen trades.

WorldSkills Australia

WorldSkills Competitions are held on a Regional, National and International level. Regional Competitions flow into National Competitions and National Competition winners are eligible to be part of the Australian team at the WorldSkills International Competition. WorldSkills Australia is a member of WorldSkills International which is a global network consisting of 51 countries who participate in trade and skills competitions.

All competitions are judged according to agreed standards and winning competitors are awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals.

The State Training Board as the peak training advisory body highly supports and promotes skills excellence to industry encouraging young people to be involved in WorldSkills competitions.
