Aboriginal Workforce Development Centres

A dedicated service for Aboriginal jobseekers to connect with employers and service providers to take up opportunities in the workforce. Aboriginal Workforce Development Centres encourage employers to contact one of the Centres in 7th Floor GPO Building Perth, Broome, Bunbury, Geraldton or Kalgoorlie if you want to develop your Aboriginal workforce. The centres are open Monday to Friday during business hours.
In addition to the five AWDCs, the Department partners with Southern Aboriginal Corporation in Albany; SMYL Community Services in Mandurah; Bloodwood Tree in South Hedland and Directions in Northam to provide similiar services to the AWDCs in those regions.

The Career Centre website can help if you need more information about education and training courses, you are not sure about your career direction or learning options or you need help with your career planning and career decision making. You can make an appointment online with a career practitioner. The Career Centre is open Monday to Friday (excluding WA public holidays) from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. in the DTWD Customer Service Centre, GPO Building, Level 7, 3 Forrest Place Perth.
