The following proposals are currently being considered by the State Training Board. If you have questions about a proposal please contact the Office of the State Training Board on 6551 5593 or contact the proponent directly.
Note: This list excludes proposals to vary qualifications resulting from training package updates. These variations will be considered on a case by case basis by the Office of the State Training Board in consultation with the relevant training councils and a simplified process may be considered for the replacement of some of these qualifications. However, for qualifications that have been substantially changed, deemed “not equivalent” under the packaging rules and where the occupational outcomes of the replaced qualifications are significantly different, a new establishment process will need to be undertaken. Enquiries in relation to these variations are to be directed to the relevant training council in the first instance.
The stages of the proposal are explained as follows:
Consultation underway means that the proponent and the relevant industry Training Council(s) are consulting with industry on the proposal and developing their submission for lodgement with the State Training Board.
Department response means that the Department of Training and Workforce Development is preparing its response/report on the implications and risks relating to the proponent's proposal.
Review by OSTB means that the Office of the State Training Board is reviewing the written submission(s) to ensure that the submission(s) comply with the Guidelines and that all relevant information is available for EVAC to consider.
Consideration by EVAC means that the reports from the Training Council/proponent and the Department are currently being considered by the Establishment and Variation of Apprenticeships Committee.
Awaiting Decision by Minister means that the proposal is currently with the Minister for Education and Training in accordance with section 60C of the
